I’ve been performing since 1996 and have played at several weddings, especially on Waiheke where weddings are prolific in the Summer!
Wedding music can be relaxed background music that includes both covers and / or originals, or an duo or an entire wedding band for after dinner dancing.

Our wedding day wouldn’t have been the same without Sol, Jonathan and the Sally Connection Band!
From the very beginning Sol was fantastic to deal with, very open and professional. Right throughout the wedding preparations they really looked after us – Jonathan even learnt the Canon in D for the ceremony.
Choosing from their impressive song list makes it easy to tailor the music for your night. They adapted to the mood of the crowd and really knew how to keep our guests on their feet!
It made such a difference having a live band this great for your reception; the Sally Connection brings so much energy to the party!
These guys took everything in their stride and we really appreciate their efforts – despite the weather changing ceremony sites, random song requests from the guests and even a brief attempt at karaoke by the brides father – you can be sure they will give you and your guests one of the best nights of their lives.

We are so glad we hired Sol for our March 2011 wedding at Cable Bay on Waiheke Island.
They played two fantastic sets of music, one acoustic and one electric, keeping our guests thoroughly entertained with a selection of perfectly-performed songs, perfectly suited to the times they were played.
The band were highly professional, well-rehearsed and very easy to deal with. Nothing was too difficult; even the groom’s request to learn and perform an original song for the bride (sung by the groom!) was accomplished with resounding success. At the end of the night the audience called long and loud for the band to continue, but alas the venue would not allow them to play past closing.
We would thoroughly recommend Sol & the band for any event – they truly rock!

What a weekend! You rocked the Stray Possum Lodge here on Grt Barrier Island…
On Friday night you played for 3 hours straight to 60 people, who had a great time dancing and singing along.
On Saturday, you did it again, this time to 120 people including a group on a stag party, a company team building group and a bunch of the locals too. It was awesome!!
Everybody loved the music and you had a great rapport with the crowd. A lot of people were talking about it for days afterwards – which meant you were able to sell quite a few CDs.
